G’day Steve! It’s been a long time … do you remember me? I used to have QSOs with you and Lance back in the mid ’80s when I was going under the call VK5ZN but currently using the call VK4AAR from my new location in Placid Hills (Gatton) south east QLD. Been here since 1993. I was on the train from Adelaide to Perth and operating “rail mobile” as part of the South Australian sesquicentennial (150th b’day) celebrations and you gave me a bed for a night before our return trip.
Didn’t I hear that you had sold all your equipment and given up the hobby? Seems you’ve had second thoughts, eh?
Its Saturday 5th Sept as I type and I just heard you calling CQ in the Asia contest and looked you up QRZ.COM … and here I am. I checked your online VK6IR log but can’t see VK5ZN, VK5JSA or VI5JSA in there … I’m sure I worked you from the train at least.
Drop me a line when you have time, huh? If you use Skype enter my email address to search for me and call sometime. I use Echo Link too.
    73 Steve bach … de Alan, VK4AAR

Bands are not so active as expected. Relocated to Papua

Hi Steve, just worked you on 40 meters. Please use your Africa antenna around 1600 - 1700 UTC on 40 meters, you have great signals here at that time on that band.
