My Profile
My name is Steve Chamberlain, I was born in 1956 and first licenced as an Amateur Radio operator in 1978 (VK6NEX). I upgraded to a full licence in 1979 (VK6IR) and was active untill 1986.
I bacame interested in Ham Radio again in 2008 and briefly held the call VK6ABU for a few months before getting back my original call VK6IR.
I am mostly interested in DXing and would like to work all countries! I also enjoy contesting and can be heard on the bands during most contests.
I also organised a dxpedition to Christmas Island in March/April or 1985. Along with Lance VK6DU we operated in the CQWPX contest.
I am also a member of the Northern Corridor Radio Group (NCRG) a very active club station. VK6ANC or VK6NC will be heard often working the pileups on the bands
